Amy Schumer has finally addressed viewers' concerns about her "puffy" face when she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The View.
The comedian appeared on both talk shows to promote the second season of her show, Life & Beth, and while you would think viewers would be interested in the upcoming concept for the series, it seems as though they were focused on something else altogether: her face.

"I'm going to need all surgeons and doctors to weigh in here. Serious question, what happened to Amy’s face? Is it normally this size?" wrote one person on X, formerly Twitter, alongside a clip of the star from Fallon's talk show.
"What did Amy Schumer do to her face? One might could at least give her she had a cute-ish kinda face before. She did something to her cheeks? Eyes?" another added.
"Damn Amy Schumer's face is HUGE. wtf when did she get like this? Lol. #TheView," a third stated.
However, others jumped in to defend the star.
"I can’t stand Amy Schumer but who the hell cares what’s going on with someone’s face? It’s nobody’s business," said this X-user.
"I know we all hate amy schumer because she sucks but idt it's right to make fun of her for her face for being swollen... she could be on medication, like steroids do that to your face, maybe she has lupus or something idk..." this person also pointed out.
Now the 42-year-old has taken to Instagram to put an end to all the rumors once and for all.
"...Binge both full seasons of @lifeandbethhulu and thank you so much for everyone’s input about my face," she started the lengthy promotional post. "I’ve enjoyed feedback and deliberation about my appearance as all women do for almost 20 years."
The star then went on to reveal that she's battling endometriosis right now, which is a disease that sees tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus and can cause women severe pain as well as complications with fertility.
"And you’re right it is puffier than normal right now. I have endometriosis an auto immune disease that every woman should read about. There are some medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now but I’m okay," she continued before adding: "Historically women’s bodies have barely been studied medically compared to men.
"The book 'all in her head' does a good job explaining this. I also believe a woman doesn’t need any excuse for her physical appearance and owes no explanation. But I wanted to take the opportunity to advocate for self love and acceptance of the skin you’re in."
Schumer than re-directed the focus back to her show, stating that we should be focussing on women's achievements rather than their appearances.
"Like every other women/person some days I feel confident and good as hell and others I want to put a bag over my head," she stated. But I feel strong and beautiful and so proud of this tv show I created. Wrote. Starred in and directed. Maybe just maybe we can focus on that for a little."
"I had backup dancers on Fallon but my face is the headline hahaha anyway I hope you enjoy life and Beth. Love and solidarity. Amy," she concluded.

"You know, for months, I had been complaining of pain... it was just this pain you can’t see. There is the inclination to always think a woman is just being dramatic," she said.
"I’ve been in so much pain, you know, my whole life — not just the week of my period," the comedian, who underwent a hysterectomy - a surgical removal of her uterus - for the condition in 2021, added.
