Amy Schumer has responded after online users used the same one word in reaction to her dramatic body transformation post.
The 44-year-old comedian is receiving an outpouring of strong reactions from her fans and celebrity friends after unveiling a newly toned figure on an Instagram post on Sunday (October 5).
The picture, which was captioned "My lovies," shows Schumer donning a sleek black Miu Miu minidress while standing next to friends Jillian Bell and Alex Saks.
Fans and celebs alike kept repeating the same one word in the comments: "legs".
The post quickly garnered attention from the comic's famous peers. Comedian Kathy Griffin jokingly wrote: “I’m so pissed about your legs, I can barely talk to you,” while writer-director Lee Daniels, known for Precious and Empire, commented: “Skinnnnnnnny mommmmma.”
Amy Sedaris chimed in: "You look incredible. Look at those pins!!!" while fashion designers Margaret Josephs added: "Ok legs for days!!" alongside the fire emoji.
By Monday, Schumer took to her Instagram to thank her followers for their compliments: sharing, “Loving the love. My legs thank you!”
While the I Feel Pretty actress didn't go into detail about her weight loss in the recent post, she had previously addressed her health journey earlier this year.
Schumer confirmed that she had been taking Mounjaro, a medication in the same class as Ozempic, which has been used off-label for weight loss, HuffPost reported.
She has also been open about her previous experiences with weight management medications, including her time using Wegovy, another GLP-1 medication, which she ultimately stopped as it left her "bedridden".
“I tried Ozempic almost three years ago, and I was like, bedridden,” she said on The Howard Stern Show. “I was like, vomiting - and then you have no energy. But other people take it and they’re all good.”
In past interviews, the Trainwreck star has been transparent about her struggles with body image. In 2022, she revealed that she underwent liposuction after giving birth to her son, Gene, via C-section three years earlier.
Additionally, Schumer has faced scrutiny for her appearance, including accusations of plastic surgery when her face appeared puffier in 2022. She later clarified that the change in her appearance was due to endometriosis and a diagnosis of Cushing's syndrome, a condition caused by high cortisol levels, which can result in weight gain, fatigue, and other symptoms.
Throughout her health journey, Schumer has spoken out about the importance of transparency in discussions about weight loss.
After revealing her liposuction procedure, the comedian emphasized the importance of being honest about such choices. "I just wanted to say that, because if anybody sees me in pictures or anything and they're like, she looks thinner, and whatever: it's because I had a surgery," she said on Dear Chelsea in 2022. "It's too hard, and I just want to be real about it."
Schumer continued her push for transparency in 2023, criticizing the culture of dishonesty surrounding weight loss. “Everyone has been lying saying, ‘Oh smaller portions.’ Like shut the f*** up. You are on Ozempic or one of those things, or you got work done. Just stop,” she said on Watch What Happens Live in 2023. “Be real with the people. When I got lipo, I said I got lipo.”

The 44-year-old comedian has been on a widely-publicized weight loss journey over the past year, openly sharing her experiences with weight loss medications, liposuction, and health struggles.
After months of posting updates on her progress, Schumer made the bold move to delete all of her previous Instagram posts, leaving just one new post showcasing her slimmer figure.

The decision to delete her previous photos, many of which documented her weight loss journey, has led to speculation about her reasons.
One user commented: "Girl! Why did you delete your old pics and reels?!" and mentioned they loved the "range" her page had, from pre- to current weight loss.
Meanwhile, others celebrated her transformation, filling the comment section with compliments. "Stunning. This dress," one person shared, while another chimed in: "You look amazing Amy !!!!" A third added: "I think you’re my muse now."
The new post comes after the comic shared a now-deleted picture of her toned legs on October 5. The snap quickly garnered attention from Schumer's famous peers.
Comedian Kathy Griffin jokingly wrote: “I’m so pissed about your legs, I can barely talk to you,” while writer-director Lee Daniels, known for Precious and Empire, commented: “Skinnnnnnnny mommmmma.”
A few days later, the Snatched actress took to her Instagram to thank her followers for their compliments, writing: “Loving the love. My legs thank you!”

Over the years, the Trainwreck actress has been vocal about her battle with her weight and health.
Back in 2022, she revealed that she underwent liposuction following the birth of her son, Gene, after struggling with body changes from pregnancy.
Since then, Schumer has openly discussed her experiences with weight loss medications, including Ozempic and Mounjaro, both of which are used off-label for weight loss.
In 2023, she shared her difficult experience with Ozempic, a GLP-1 medication that led to severe nausea and energy loss, making her bedridden. "I tried Ozempic almost three years ago, and I was, like, bedridden,” she explained on The Howard Stern Show. "I was like, vomiting - and then you have no energy. But other people take it, and they’re all good. So, God bless them."
After she struggled with Ozempic, Schumer tried Mounjaro, a different GLP-1 medication, and found it to be a much better fit, stating that she had a “great” experience.
“My symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy,” she said, per Healthline. “I want to get down more,” she added, referring to the positive effect on her libido. “So, yeah, that’s been great. Mounjaro’s been great."

Amy Schumer has celebrated her "40 extra lbs" by posting an Instagram story in her underwear, claiming that she has "still got it".
In the candid snapshot, Schumer, 42, sported a makeup-free face, with a big smile. She captioned the image with self-assurance, stating: "Still got it," and acknowledging that by 'it', she was referring to a weight gain of "40 extra lbs [18kg]".
Given her body language in the image, Schumer is confident in herself as she threw her arm up in excitement in the joyful photo.
The snapshot was taken in Schumer's bathroom, featuring a glass shower, a freestanding bathtub, a towel-warming rack, and green leaf-patterned wallpaper. The countertop displayed various toiletries, including Cetaphil face wash and skincare products.
In October last year, Schumer posted photos from the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne in 2012, contrasting her smiling and carefree appearance at the age of 31 with a more disheveled hospital snapshot from a recent period.
In her Instagram caption, Schumer cautioned her followers, stating: "Warning 20 somethings, I looked like this at your age. Swipe. Life is coming for you." Despite mentioning being in her twenties in the photo, Schumer was actually 31 during the Comedy Central Roast.
Reiterating her message on her Instagram story, Schumer shared the same images with a note that read: "Girls in your 20s guess what? I looked like you too. Life is coming for you b***hes."
Several celebrities, including Michelle Visage, Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Camila Morrone, engaged with the post through comments and emojis, showcasing camaraderie in the shared experience of aging.
Fans also praised Schumer's unfiltered portrayal of life, clearly relating to the image. One fan remarked: "I saw a picture of myself from 2005 the other day, and I haven’t fully recovered, life comes at ya fast."
Others shared similar sentiments, with one warning about the sudden onset of change and another commenting: "Just wait until menopause. That's a fun one."
In November, Schumer claimed that she is the "most successful female comedian of all time" which sparked a wave of backlash.
Known for her candid presence online, she found herself in the midst of controversy after commenting on the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Taking to her Instagram account, Schumer addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding her remarks on the conflict after expressing support for the Jewish community while condemning Hamas. However, her stance has sparked debate due to the contentious history between Israel and Palestine.
In an effort to clarify her position, Schumer emphasized her desire for "peace" and the return of "every hostage," expressing a wish for "safety and freedom from Hamas for Palestinians and Israelis." She made it clear that her intention was not to wish harm upon anyone and called for safety for both Jewish and Muslim communities.
Responding to accusations of Islamophobia and support for genocide, Schumer labeled such claims as "crazy" and enabled comments on her post, urging followers to consider her perspective. Addressing critics who accused her of making the conflict about herself, Schumer defended her background, stating she is "self-made" and refuted allegations she had stolen jokes.
In a bold statement, Schumer asserted her position as the "most successful female comedian of all time," defending her career and addressing personal criticisms.
The Instagram post has since been removed.

Amy Schumer has candidly opened up about the reason for her weight loss after cruel trolls targeted her appearance.
The comedian and actress, 44, has kept her fans updated throughout her health journey, having lost 50lb.
However, she revealed that the reason for her weight loss was not purely cosmetic - it was to help her "survive" a disease she discovered she had after getting comments about her "puffy" face.
Schumer shared a video taken by her six-year-old son, Gene, which she'd overlaid with information about her condition.
She wrote: "Bedroom tour by Gene. I never ever wear jewelry. I don't get Botox or filler. I didn't lose 30lbs I lost 50.
"Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive.
"I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you, but the internet caught it, and the disease has cleared."
Schumer appeared to be referring to her Cushing syndrome diagnosis, which is a condition caused by the body having too much cortisol, the primary stress hormone, per the Mayo Clinic.
The condition can cause weight gain in the trunk as well as the face, high blood pressure, and increased stretch marks, as well as skin that bruises more easily.
She added: "Sorry for whatever feeling it's giving you that I lost that weight. I've had plastic surgery over the years and I use Mounjaro.
"Sorry to anyone that lets down. I am pain free and can [play] tag with my son."
She also addressed being in perimenopause as well as the rumors about her marriage to her husband, Chris Fischer, who was diagnosed with autism, adding: "Whatever ends up happening with Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism. Fingers crossed we can make it through, he's the best."
A source told People before the couple ultimately ended their relationship: "They’re privately working through normal issues that couples in long-term marriages have. They are both committed to the relationship."
Schumer had spoken out about being diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome - which some have linked to steroid injections - saying on the Call Her Daddy podcast: "So I got these was getting these steroid injections and so it gave me this thing called Cushing syndrome — which I wouldn't have known if the internet hadn't come for me so hard."

Amy Schumer turned heads on Instagram this week, flaunting a dramatic transformation that has fans buzzing online.
The 44-year-old comedian looked slimmer than she has in decades, showing off her toned frame in a chic, beige Valentino mini-dress complete with ruffles, bows, and black sling-back pumps.
Stylist Brenda Tolentino clearly had a hand in curating the look, which paired perfectly with Schumer’s radiant skin and signature blonde hair.
The Midi Health investor and comedy star, who underwent liposuction in 2022 (according to Real Self), also got a facial by Georgia Louise before make-up artist Gita Bass worked her magic to contour Schumer’s glowing complexion.
Hairstylist Jae Manuel Cardenas added the finishing touch, giving her locks a voluminous, polished finish for the at-home photo shoot.
Fans quickly noticed another detail in the photos: Schumer wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.
While the comedian has occasionally gone ring-free in public, the subtle absence sparked chatter online, given the swirling rumors about her marriage to chef Chris Fischer.

The post did include their six-year-old son, Gene Fischer, although his face was hidden behind emojis.
Captioning her Instagram slideshow, Schumer joked: “Trying to go to the party but someone won’t go to bed,” showing off her playful side despite the intense media scrutiny surrounding her personal life.
Rumors about the couple’s relationship have been circulating for months.
A source told the Daily Mail in November that a split was imminent: “Amy is 100 per cent getting divorced.
"She got skinny, she is over it. Chris is mostly out of the house at this point.
"They’ve listed two homes, in Brooklyn and New Orleans. She deleted Chris from Instagram then deleted everything else.
"She’s going to file soon, but it’s over. Done.”
However, shortly before wiping her Instagram account, Schumer shared that she and Fischer were still married, even praising Hulu’s new show about divorce attorneys, All’s Fair, per PEOPLE.
The couple originally met through her personal assistant, who is Fischer’s sister, and tied the knot just five months later.
They currently share a nanny for Gene and have three frozen embryos to potentially expand their family via surrogate.

Schumer has been open about the role GLP-1 drugs like Mounjaro have played in her weight loss journey, per Us Weekly.
After a difficult experience with Ozempic in 2022, the notorious joke stealer gushed in April: “I’m loving being on Mounjaro and I haven’t found that it’s affected anything [side effects wise].”
Celebrities from Oprah Winfrey to Kelly Clarkson have publicly credited these drugs with their own transformations, while others like Selena Gomez, Khloé Kardashian, and Demi Lovato remain tight-lipped.
