With the coronavirus pandemic forcing millions of people around the world to stay indoors, it's probably never been a better time to be a videogamer. After all, who suffers from cabin fever when you can explore virtual worlds from the comfort of your own couch?

So if you're a videogamer and you're looking for something to fill up your time in the near future, then you'll be pleased to learn that one of the best first-person shooters of all time is getting a remake, and it may well be coming out tomorrow.

Take a look at the trailer for the remaster below:

That's right, a remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is allegedly dropping in stores and online on March 31st, featuring overhauled graphics, dynamic new lighting effects, and incredible new textures, to bring an old classic into the current generation of consoles and PCs.

According to a recent report by Eurogamer, a number of intriguing details on the all-new title were unearthed by a data miner and leaked to social media over the weekend.

However, the release of the remaster will only consist of the single-player campaign mode, with the online multiplayer to follow at a later date. Thus far, there's been no word either on whether tomorrow's release will feature the fan-favorite zombie survival mode.

This would appear to debunk a number of long-running rumors that Call of Duty: Black Ops was the next game in the franchise that was due to be remade.

Have a look at the trailer for the Modern Warfare 1 remake too:

The original iteration of Modern Warfare 2 first appeared on our shelves way back on November 10, 2009 - and went on to sell approximately 4.7 million copies in North America and the United Kingdom in the first 24 hours of release alone.
