The woman who went viral last year after being seen cuddling up with her then-boss at a Coldplay concert has provided the public with an update.
Now known worldwide as the 'Coldplay couple' after being exposed by a moment on the kiss cam, Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot went viral for all the wrong reasons in July 2025.
Back then, little did they know that attending the band's Music of the Spheres concert would alter their lives forever.
Being spotted on the jumbo screen at the concert was one thing, as Coldplay frontman Chris Martin even joked: "Oh, look at these two. Either they are having an affair or they’re just really shy.
“Holy s**t! I hope we didn’t do something bad,” as they turned away in horror and hid from the camera.
It turned out that Byron was the CEO of a New York-based tech company called Astronomer, while Cabot was ironically part of the HR team at the same organization, with the former married at the time.
While Cabot was in the middle of a separation from her husband, he was also at the concert when the moment unfolded, though in a different area.
But now, she has shared an update a year on from the incident.
The former HR executive left the company after the incident, as she looked to embark on a new chapter in life, aiming to fight against online harassment while looking for a new job.
Cabot, a mom-of-two, is still without a job and opened up about some of the online abuse she received in an interview with The Boston Globe.
She explained: “I’m still a hot mess, but I’m better,” while speaking to Sherry Hakimi, the CEO of Pirth.org.
Cabot is an adviser to the nonprofit organization, which works to help people who are targeted online, as Cabot added: “I just feel so turned inward, which I don’t like,
“That’s not me. But I’ll get there.”
Byron never publicly commented on the incident, and was later spotted with his wife, despite allegedly going through a separation at the time of the kiss cam.
He also left his role at Astronomer, and the pair no longer speak.
The 53-year-old has opened up on the incident in several interviews since, including a sit-down conversation with Oprah Winfrey for her podcast in March.
Cabot spoke of the abuse she deserves, explaining that while she made a "mistake" with her former CEO, the public should not have treated her that way.
She told Winfrey: “I own the poor decision that I made in that moment, and I’ve paid an unimaginable price for that.”
The former HR executive additionally told the Globe: “I made a really poor judgment call in the moment. I’m not denying that or being defensive about that. But, I mean, you shouldn’t be killed for that.”
