Drake has got his fans' tongues wagging after sharing a personal photo of himself posing with Taylor Swift.
The 35-year-old rapper recently took to Instagram to share a "photo dump" of random pics, along with the caption: "They too soft to understand the meaning of hard work."
Along with a few pictures of Drake and another of his son Adonis, the Toronto-born hitmaker shared a throwback pic of him with fellow chart-topper, Taylor Swift.
In the snap, Drake can be seen with his arm around the 32-year-old 'Shake It Off' singer, as Swift smiles into the camera.
Despite the post amassing more than 1.8 million 'likes' in a matter of hours, Drake has limited his Instagram comments to friends and family - meaning fans had to take to Twitter to speculate over what the random image could mean.
Of course, there were those who immediately jumped to the conclusion that the two stars were in a relationship.
One person tweeted a screenshot of the snap, along with the caption: "confirmed drake and taylor swift are dating"
A second added: "Drake and Taylor Swift dating would be mean the two most insufferable fanbases in music are merging."
However, this rumor is simply untrue, as the photo Drake shared was from several years ago and Swift has been dating British actor Joe Alwyn since 2016.
Instead, many fans simply agreed that the pic could suggest that a highly-anticipated collaboration is coming from the two stars.
"IF there is a Taylor swift and drake collab coming out, the national anthem will need to be changed, that is all," one Twitter user wrote.
"Drake and Taylor swift collab??? The world isn’t ready," added another.
"A Taylor Swift and Drake collab is what the world needs," tweeted a third.
Most fans are now hoping that Drake will feature on Swift's upcoming 1989 (Taylor's Version):
Although the two stars have never released a single together, the pair did star in two iconic Apple Music commercials back in 2016, in which, both stars worked out in the gym while listening to the other's music.
Although we don't know what Drake's cryptic post actually means, if there is a possibility we could see a collaboration between the two stars, you better believe that single is shooting straight to the top of the charts.
