Rupert Grint, who is best known for playing Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise, welcomed his first child with fellow actress Georgia Groome earlier this month.

Now, they have been pictured outside with their baby girl for the first time, when they took her for a stroll in the May sunshine, this week. 31-year-old Grint and 28-year-old Groome - who is known for playing the titular character in the teen flick, Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging - were seen wearing matching face masks.

Representatives for the couple announced on the 7th May that the couple had welcomed a healthy baby girl. "Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl," they wrote in a statement. "We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time."

Fans of the Harry Potter films took to Twitter to congratulate Grint and Groome, after the pair confirmed the happy news last month.

One person wrote: "Awe Rupert Grint's gonna be a dad, super cute; hands down the nicest big name celebrity I've ever met! congratulations to him and Georgia!"

"Friendly reminder that rupert grint used his harry potter cash to buy an ice cream truck, which he drives around to hand out free ice cream. he’s gonna be such a great dad [sic]," added another.

In a 2018 interview with The Guardian, the actor talked about turning 30 and revealed that he would like to settle down and have kids in the not-too-distant future;

"It just doesn’t feel like I’m there yet and I don’t know what the future holds. I’m just going to go with the flow, keep playing interesting characters and see what happens. I’d like to settle down and have kids soon. If I had a son, would I call him Ron? It’s quite a good name, but probably not. And Grint’s a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with."
