No matter how much of a cynic you may claim to be when it comes to celebrity matters, you have to admit that it's just a little bit fun to keep tabs on the flings and romances of famous folks. Whether you just do a bit of checking-in whenever Kim and Kanye appear to have had a feud, or go full-on detective and start trawling through Instagram at the slightest hint that Justin and Selena are thinking of giving things another go, we all have some level of interest in other people's love lives.
So, when rumours began circling that Katy Perry and Orlanda Bloom were back on with their relationship, fans of the couple began keeping a close eye on everything they did.
With that in mind, then, the singer-actor duo should have been a tiny bit more careful about their public interactions.
In person, the two have still managed to remain pretty covert - though Perry did let slip that she was seeing someone during an awkward interaction with the star of The Bachelorette on American Idol last month.
"I'm not single, but I still like you," she said to the TV star, Becca Kufrin.
Since then, however, she's been laying low... until now.
Yesterday, Bloom updated his Insta with a post promoting the play he's currently starring in. It's called "Killer Joe", and the Pirates of the Carribean star has landed himself a leading role.
Rather than comment with some support for her boyfriend, however, Perry decided to go with something slightly more - uh - personal.
Beneath the trailer, the I Kissed A Girl singer commented: "I need a season pass for that ass" (top notch flirting, by the way), before hastily following up with: "oops I meant to send that to you privately".
Fans were understandably amused by the interaction, with one person responding: "omg! I had a terrible day and I’m sorry but your comments to @orlandobloom just made my evening. Thanks for the laugh y’all! Ps- if she can joke like this with you MARRY HER! ? #perfect".
A fellow fan added: "THIS IS PROOF THAT KATY ONLY WANTS ORLANDO FOR ASS HAHA."
Another, however, just said what we were all thinking: "@katyperry don't we all sweety."
The pair were rumoured to have rekindled their romance in the later months of 2017, and were spotted together on various occasions - albeit none of them particularly serious-looking. In recent weeks, though, Perry has let slip a few hints - all the while Bloom was doing his best to keep mum.
The first surefire confirmation came in April when the ET singer was asked whether she would date an American Idol contestant.
"No, I'm sorry I have been spoken for and speak for myself," she said, adding, "and I'm very happy!"
This was obviously news to the reporter, who responded: "You're spoken for right now?!"
"Yeah, girl, of course I am!" Perry said, as if we should have known all along that her and Bloom were an item again.
But, if it wasn't clear before, it certainly is now - though perhaps now we know a bit too much.
