Actress, producer, and entrepreneur, Reese Witherspoon, can do no wrong. Whether she's empowering a generation of women with her turn as Legally Blonde's Elle Woods, or fronting Hello Sunshine, a production company dedicated to telling female-driven stories, the 42-year-old is certainly a positive role model for women everywhere.

And clearly she has a sense of humour to boot. In a recent Instagram post, Reese - who is mother to 19-year-old Ava Elizabeth Phillippe, 14-year-old Deacon Reese Phillippe, and six-year-old Tennessee James Toth - revealed that she and her husband, Jim Toth, volunteered to be "mystery readers" at their son, Tennessee's, kindergarten class. And Reese took the title of "mystery reader" incredibly seriously, choosing to don a full-body suit, complete with a giant mascot head.

"You gotta commit. Hubby & I took Mystery Reader to new levels! Thank you #MoWillems for the inspiration," Reese captioned the Instagram post from October 3rd.

"It's a big day. We've got something very exciting that we're headed to do," she said in the accompanying video, before she held up the pink pig's head, trying to suppress a chuckle. Reese said that she was using the outfit to "disguise" her "identity", and teased that she and her husband would be reading a picture book called I Really Like Slop! by Mo Willems.

The costume perfectly matched the protagonist of her book of choice.

Reese's husband also came dressed in a giant elephant suit, to portray Gerald the elephant, another loveable character from Mo Willems' popular Elephant and Piggie kids' book series. How's that for commitment, eh?

Tennessee was naturally thrilled to see his parents all dressed up for the occasion - just take a gander at the snaps below.

The actress's fans loved her and Jim's dedication. "Whatever it takes to get children loving books!!" one Instagram user wrote in the comments of the post, while another added "Yes!! Encouraging kids to love reading is the best thing us parents can do for their intelligence and imagination!"

"You can’t go wrong with Mo Willems.... love seeing something school related on here.... anything that parents can do in order to promote a child’s love of reading is always well received and appreciated by teachers - THANK YOU," a third wrote.

Just last week, Reese's youngest son celebrated his sixth birthday. "Heyyyy!! It's this little guy's 6th birthday! Happy birthday to my sweet little boy, Tennessee!" Reese wrote on Instagram on September 26th. "He makes me smile & laugh and remember the important things in life everyday!"

The Legally Blonde star also shares two children with her first husband Ryan Phillippe - Ava Elizabeth Phillippe and Deacon Reese Phillippe - to whom she was married from 1999 to 2007.

Well, it's clear that Reese and Jim have taken parenting to the next level. They have some lucky children!
