If you grew up listening to music in the 2000s, you'll undoubtedly have heard a song featuring acclaimed producer Timbaland.

His work with artists such as OneRepublic, Nelly Furtado, Madonna, and Katy Perry earned him number one singles all over the world, and he even scooped two Grammy's alongside Justin Timberlake for the tracks 'Sexy Back and 'LoveStoned'.

However, in a revealing interview with Men's Health, the beloved producer and rapper has opened up about kicking his drug habits and changing his diet in order to shed a whopping 130lbs.

Timbaland - born Timothy Mosley - revealed that despite coming out of the 00s as one of the most successful producers of the decade, his life quickly took a turn for the worse.

In 2011, the now-47-year-old was forced to go under the knife for dental surgery. However, the rapper sadly developed an addiction to the pain medication (Oxycontin and Percocet) he was prescribed.

Then, two years later, Mosley started the process of divorcing his wife of five years, before being hit with a $4 million tax case from the IRS regarding unpaid taxes.

During this difficult time, Timbaland started to gain an unhealthy amount of weight - to the point where he became at risk of developing diabetes.

Speaking to Men's Health, the star recalled the turning points that changed his outlook on his health and well-being: "I would look at pictures and I was like: No way".

Timbaland then revealed the time he compared his own anatomy to that of a woman he was standing next to: "I looked at my breast, I looked at her breast, and I was like: we both can’t..."

The rapper then revealed that doctors told him that he was at risk of developing diabetes, and that's when he decided enough was enough.

Mosley entered what he now refers to as his "two-year 360" - where he cut out the prescription medication, failed relationships, and clouded mind that had held him back for so long, and instead adopted a new diet and fitness program.

He describes his newfound diet as "Plane Jane", and explains that "you're not eating for taste; you’re eating for fuel" - similar to that of a bodybuilder.

The 'Shock Wave' star now enjoys meals like prepped and delivered chicken and greens, as well as snacking on pineapples and other fruits. In addition, the producer will add kiwis, almond milk, strawberries, cantaloupe, and kale to his protein shakes in order to "give it that thickness".

Despite dropping an incredible 130lbs, Timbaland still says he doesn't feel "complete" - but that's something he's perfectly content with:

"God has me under construction, which I'm still under.

"I don't feel like I'm complete. I don't want to ever feel like I'm complete, 'cause my mind would probably get idle."
