A woman who made Brendan Fraser tear up with her kind words of support finds out she's going to meet the actor in person.
Fraser was one of the most well-known actors of the 90s and early 00s, starring in many major movies including George of the Jungle and The Mummy trilogy. After a hiatus from acting that lasted close to a decade, he's experiencing a comeback with his new movie, The Whale, which received rave reviews from critics and a six-minute standing ovation at the Venice International Film Festival this year.
One woman who seems to adore the 53-year-old, is TikTok user Lindley - who earned a virtual meet-and-greet with the actor.
Posting footage of her interview with Fraser, the actor was heard discussing how nervous he was to star alongside Robert DeNiro and Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon - an American Western crime drama which is set for release in 2023.
In response, Lindley praised the actor, telling him: "You've got this. You've got this. Just know that the internet is so behind you. We're so supportive. There are so many people out there who love you, and we're rooting for you. And we can't wait to see what you do next."
The American-Canadian actor then smiled at Lindley, before taking a sip of water and replying with a choked-up: "Shucks, ma'am."
Lindley's TikTok footage immediately went viral, thanks to the lovable actor's sweet yet humble response - it received more than 580,000 likes.
And she isn't the only one broadcasting her love for the actor. One Twitter user even tweeted: "Girls only want one thing and that's for Brendan Fraser to be happy."
One year since the footage went viral and Lindley's dreams are coming true, as she recently found out she is set to meet Fraser in person at the New York Comic Con this year, after it was announced that Fraser would be in attendance. "YOU ARE MAKING MY DREAM COME TRUE," she captioned her TikTok.
The New York Comic Con announced Fraser's attendance via Instagram, writing: "George – watch out for that skyscraper! Brendan Fraser is swinging into NYCC 2022 on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9. You know him as Rick O’Connell in The Mummy, George in George of the Jungle, and more."
Well, let's hope Fraser and Lindley don't both end up in tears at their first in-person meeting!
