A man has gone viral for his cringe comeback after a girl he hit on at the gym said she was "too young" for him.

The awkward exchange was posted to TikTok on August 15, captioned: "For those who saw my YT vid lmao here's this …. LEAVE WOMEN ALONE!!!! [sic]", per Independent.

In the video, she could be seen working out when she was approached by a man who appeared to be in his 40s for a conversation.

Watch the viral video below:

The man tries to make small talk with the teenager before he asks for her phone number, and this is when she says she's "too young" for him.

"When I'm able to get out [of physical therapy] you might not be here," he says. "I wanted to get your number for dinner."

The woman responds: "Oh I'm sorry. I'm too young for you."

However, instead of accepting the polite rejection, he replies: "Oh yeah? Well, I'm too rich," before storming off.

Needless to say, the video did not go unnoticed on the social media website, and at the time of writing, it has been liked over 408 times and received thousands of likes.

One TikTok user wrote in response: "The fact that you're likely richer than him."
