Fans of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are once again displeased with the rest of the Royal Family.

Supporters of the royal duo were outraged to learn that King Charles III's coronation has been scheduled on a date very dear to Harry and Meghan.

Charles III ascended the throne in September after his long-reigning mother, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away at the age of 96. Although he is already technically King, Buckingham Palace announced this week that the new monarch will be formally crowned on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

"The Coronation Ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey, London, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Ceremony will see His Majesty King Charles III crowned alongside The Queen Consort," the Palace said in a statement.

"The Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry," the statement added.

Unfortunately for the Sussexes, May 6 is a date on which they've already got some pretty important plans, as it's the day their eldest son Archie (who is also the new King's grandson) will turn four.

After realizing that the coronation would clash with Archie's birthday, fans of Harry and Meghan took to social media to slam the choice of date.

The couple has taken a step back from Royal duties since moving to the US in 2020 - however many felt that their calendar should still have been taken into consideration.

"So King Charles The Cruel has set his Coronation for the 6th of May next year. AKA his grandson Prince Archie of Sussex’s 4th birthday," one person tweeted.

Another speculated: "Is the King’s Coronation date the same as Archie’s birthday deliberately?"

A third added: "Royalists freak out when the Sussexes release a picture two days after the rest of the family or does anything when a birthday pic of the Cambridge kids is released, saying it overshadows them, but by all means, schedule your coronation on Archie’s birthday. The audacity."

"He's done this to steal his grandson's 'thunder'. There's no way he wouldn't have been aware of the significance of May 6," a fourth raged.
