Fans have been left overjoyed after seeing a new video of Bam Margera skating "flawlessly" again, following his struggles with substance abuse.

The former Jackass star, 44, has been in the headlines in recent months for being in and out of rehabilitation facilities, but recently revealed he is in a "phenomenal place" after hitting 45 days sober earlier this month,

He opened up about his past struggles with rehab and what changed this time around on the Preston & Steve Show on 93.3 WMMR, explaining: "I bought a one-way ticket to hell and back, and I’ll explain, but I’m phenomenal now.

"I have the Guinness Book of World Records of longest Florida shuffle – fifteen back-to-back rehabs, usually 90 days of peace but sometimes more."

The term 'Florida shuffle' refers to the controversial practice where certain rehab centers continually readmit patients to claim insurance payouts. Such a model inevitably pushes patient welfare to the background, leading to repeated cycles of admissions without lasting success.

He continued: "Luckily, I had phenomenal insurance, and the interventionist knows that if you have insurance, they’ll find every reason to keep you there."

Bam revealed in the interview, which took place on October 5, that he was 45 days sober at the time after completing his latest treatment.

Now, fans have found a video posted at the start of October showing Bam skateboarding just as well as he did in his heyday, and it has left them emotional at how far he has come recently.

The video, posted on YouTube by the Just Shred Crew, shows Bam enjoying time at the skate park with the three brothers from PA who love skateboarding, pulling off tricks without missing a beat.

Fans were loving seeing him doing so well, writing: "Actually amazing that he's still got this down so flawlessly after all the s**t he's been through!"

Others added: "Dear skateboarding: please, save Bams life, as you have before.... sincerely, all of us," and: "It’s so good to see him shredding again, he never lost it, I hope he keeps at it, it’ll literally save his life!"

Another commented: "It's honestly so nice to see Bam skate again!", while someone else added: "So cool to see him shredding again! He looks so stoked to be tearing it up and landing sick tricks. I wish him many more years of happiness!"

Fans also wrote: "It's great to see him in a much better head space and doing good. The guy has been through a lot over the years so this makes me happy to see," and: "You got this bam. Rooting for you."

As well as being overjoyed to see him back on the ramps, fans were mostly over the moon to see the smile lighting up his face as he once again did what he does best.

We wish Bam every continued success for his recovery, and look forward to seeing lots more skating videos to come from the iconic skater.

Twenty years ago, he was flying high with a starring role on Jackass. But nowadays, things are a lot tougher for Bam Margera, with the former reality TV star checking into rehab for the third time last week.

A week after starting treatment again, the American professional stunt performer took to social media to share an emotional letter written from the centre.

In the moving handwritten note, he told fans he was finally done "wasting his time" with alcohol and that the party was "over". In addition, he put his behaviour down to the death of his friend Jackass co-star Ryan Dunn who tragically died in a car crash in 2011, stating he had spent enough time mourning the loss.

"Dear C*cksuckers, I have spent enough time grieving over Ryan Dunn through alcohol," Margera wrote. "I'm 39 years old, the party is over. I don't plan on drinking anymore. I have wasted too much time at the bar and all my friends who needed decades of help are now sober. [sic]"

He continued: "I would like to join the sober parade. I hear the stories of other rehab patients telling me about there [sic] weeks or months of horrible detox. Well, guess how many days of detox I had? ZERO!"

"I am sick of people always thinking I'm drunk, crazy or f*cked up. So if you plan on calling me to tell me that, you can go f*ck yourself instead. I'm not going to suck anyone's d*ck to stay on [skateboard company] Element and or prove that I am sober. I am sober. So keep printing BAM [skateboard] decks or don't. Plant a tree or go bite the big one, every day is Earth day! [sic]"

The 39-year-old, who also appeared on MTV's Viva La Bam, last spent time in rehab in January 2018, after being arrested for DUI.

Sentenced to three years probation in this incident, the pro skateboarder was then sober for eight months before coming off the rails again after being robbed at gunpoint in Colombia.

Another letter he posted to social media made it clear that he wanted to get back on the straight and narrow, not only for himself, but for his family.

In 2013, Margera married Nicole Boyd in Reykjavík, Iceland and the pair announced the birth of their first child, Phoenix in December 2017.

In his second note on Instagram, the filmmaker admitted he didn't "do well" being separated from his family.

"To whom it may concern, 1. I don't do well with not being allowed to Facetime my wife and kid 2. I don't do well with not being able to answer important calls with important people, [sic]" he wrote.

The letter continued: "3. I don't do well with not being able to go with everyone else to an outside AA meeting. 4. I don't do well with not being allowed to use the gym. I don't understand why I can't go on the Interweb like everyone else. 6. My eyes hurt from reading, my wrist hurts from writing, 'cause there is nothing else to do. [sic]"

Get well soon, Bam - we're all behind you.

Bam Margera is missing once again from a Florida rehab clinic - just two weeks after he fled the facility the first time.

Earlier this month, the 42-year-old stuntman left a court-ordered facility, which prompted a police search. Margera reportedly told the manager of the facility that he was not satisfied with its services and then left. He was found at a nearby hotel two days later and returned to the LifeSkills facility.

But authorities are once again searching the skateboarder's whereabouts after he made a sudden departure from the clinic over the weekend.

As reported by TMZ, sources told the outlet the reality star was last seen at around 5:30 PM on Saturday, June 25, in Deerfield Beach, Florida, after he left the rehab center without permission.

Broward County police is urging the public to share any information they may have with regards to Margera's current location.

The TV personality had previously agreed voluntarily to return to the clinic after he was found on June 13. A crisis intervention team escorted him back to the clinic.

Margera's manager reported him missing after he told the clinic manager that he planned to check himself into another rehab in the vicinity before leaving the premises in a black sedan.

He is believed to have told staff at the establishment that he was "unhappy" and wanted to "split".

Last month, the skate performer broke his wrist and elbow in an accident and went on to blame the rehab for not setting up physical therapy sessions for him.

He said it was the tenth time he'd injured his wrist and that he wouldn't be taking any pain medication while he recovered - lest he undermine his progress in rehab.

Margera also revealed last month that he had completed a one-year inpatient alcohol and drug rehab program in Florida.

Speaking to TMZ at the time, Margera explained that he would spend some months as an outpatient while staying at a Boca Raton apartment near the facility.

His wife Nikki and their four-year-old son Phoenix had been living with him in the apartment as he took part in his outpatient sessions.

Last year, it was reported that his wife had filed to obtain custody of Phoenix - but she did not file for divorce.

According the custody filing, she would allow her husband supervised visits but wanted to okay any monitor he selected.

Earlier this year, Page Six reported that Margera had agreed to settle his wrongful termination lawsuit against Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze and Paramount after saying he was on the receiving end of "inhumane treatment" when he was fired from Jackass 4.

Bam Margera is receiving a flood of praise after hitting a significant milestone on his journey to recovery - celebrating one month of sobriety.

Notably, the former Jackass star is also rediscovering his love for skateboarding, his long-lost passion that catapulted him to fame.

According to sources close to Bam, who shared insights with TMZ, the-43-year-old has been residing on a farm near Philadelphia owned by a fellow professional skateboarder. Watch Bam show off that he's still got it below:

Alongside his girlfriend, Dannii, Margera is embracing a healthy lifestyle, engaging in daily gym sessions and hikes with their dogs. This wellness regime has not only resulted in considerable weight loss but also revitalized his skating prowess, making it appear effortless once again.

Margera's sobriety comes as a beacon of hope, especially when the skateboarder seems to prioritize his well-being over addiction, influenced by the ultimatum presented by Dannii. "He picked her over the booze," states the source, emphasizing the positive circle of friends and influences that surround him. Sources also noted that this is the first instance Margera is choosing sobriety for himself, as opposed to being compelled by interventions from family or friends.

After TMZ shared the news on Facebook, the post was flooded with messages of support for Bam, with one person writing: "That's awesome!! Prayers for continued success!!"

A second added: "I hope he continues! Good luck Bam! You can do it!!"

"Congratulations! Rooting for your success Bam," wrote a third, with a fourth Facebook user adding: "That is beyond awesome! I was kinda emotional watching the video. He was so close to never coming back and now, just look at the smile on that face!"

The skateboarding icon is concurrently embroiled in a legal dispute with estranged wife, Nikki, over the custody of their five-year-old son, Phoenix. He has even shared concerning messages on social media alleging that Nikki had been preventing Bam from seeing his son.

Following occurrences of public intoxication, and an instance of being put on a 5150 hold by police, Nikki was accorded temporary sole custody last month. However, Margera remains connected with Phoenix through FaceTime, maintaining communication four times a week.

TMZ also reports that Bam's brother, Jess, disclosed an incident involving the destruction of a guitar they received from Billy Idol. However, in a recent encounter in Philadelphia, Idol graciously signed a new guitar for Margera.

A year after his last stint in rehab, Bam Margera has returned to battle his addiction to alcohol. The 39-year-old announced his return in an Instagram post, hoping that his third attempt will be the one that sticks.

This news comes after a relapse into drinking after months of sobriety, reportedly started off by an incident in Colombia last August. Margera had just landed in Cartagena, Colombia, when he took a taxi from outside the airport. That's when he claimed he was robbed at gunpoint, as he explained in an Instagram video. He told his followers:

"I just arrived in Cartagena alone and I took a taxi—a random one—from the airport to here. And I couldn't Spanish, they couldn't speak English, and they translated on their phone for me to read, 'Empty your wallet,' as they put a gun on their lap to show it to me. So I did, and I had $500. They let me go. That was weird. Welcome to Colombia!"

This video was reportedly followed up by another Instagram video, which has since been deleted. In the now-removed clip, he opened a can of Club Colombia beer and seemed shaken up by the incident.

"Sober since January 10th, this is how you open a beer being alone, bored and robbed," he captioned the post, according to People Magazine. "Anyone in Cartagena I will be sitting at the center square at high noon tomorrow with my skateboard if u wanna cruise."

Margera previously checked into rehab in January 2018, a few days after he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. This time around, Margera posted a photo of himself with his one-year-old son, Phoenix, announcing his plans to get sober in 2019. "Off to alcohol rehab for the 3rd time," he captioned the post. "I am hoping the 3rd time is a charm is true."

He followed up this post with another photo of himself, this time with "sober coach" Bob Marier. In this post, he thanked interventionist Tim Ryan, Element skateboards founder Johnny Schillereff, and fellow Jackass castmembers Brand Novak, Johnny Knoxville and Steve O "for the treatment".

Margera has notoriously struggled with alcohol abuse, with his troubles worsening since the death of his friend Ryan Dunn in 2011. His fellow Jackass star passed away in a car crash, which led to a downward spiral for Margera. Speaking to VICE about his addiction, he said:

"At its worst, I would probably just wake up around 11 AM and instantly start drinking vodka and purple Gatorade. By the end of the night, I would probably have ten pints worth of it. It was pretty bad. It was weird, because there would be times where I would go on a three-day bender of drinking and then five days of not drinking. When that five days ended, I would go on a two-day bender."

Hopefully this new year is a pivotal one for Margera, and he sees no further setbacks on his journey towards sobriety.
