We are literally only a few days into 2018 and already it seems like the world is going to carry on in a similar manner to the previous 12 months.
While we thought 2017 would go down as one of the most bizarre years on record, 2018 has begun in a way that suggests that absolutely nothing is going to change. We've already had
Donald Trump threatening Kim Jong Un with his big nuclear button and now we have one of the more bizarre exchanges that you are ever likely to see happen on Twitter.
A few days ago,
Chrissy Teigen became involved in a Twitter spat with a journalist who claimed that the model and her husband were involved in a secret celebrity paedophile ring. Despite her seemingly thick skin, Teigen was clearly upset by the accusations and took to her own account to lambast the rumours.

The drama led to Teigen making her social media accounts private (if only for a few days), with the mother appearing to really struggle to get her head around why someone would think such horrible things about her and her husband.
But, she has now returned to the world of Twitter and what has followed in the days since is arguably the greatest Twitter exchange of all time.
On December 31 2017, Chelsea Clinton sent Chrissy a message of support, saying:
"Chrissy, sending you & beautiful Luna a huge hug. It is awful & never ok when people threaten or demean any child. I’ve lost count of the Twitter accounts who’ve threatened Charlotte with #FGM. While I never bother to report threats against me, I now report every one against her."

Unsurprisingly, Chrissy was moved by the message and the two powerful women began to have a chat on the social media platform.

It all seemed to be going well and everything seemed to have calmed down until a strange, and clearly fake, Hooters account weighed into the conversation, saying: "eat s**t Chelsea."
What followed was one of the most iconic exchanges on Twitter with Teigen, Clinton, the real Hooters and The Church of Satan all entering into conversation with one another.

Not happy with the parody Hooters account tarnishing their reputation, the real Hooters stepped in, sending a message of positivity to both Teigen and Clinton, who seemed amused - if not slightly perplexed - by the entire exchange.

The exchange continued to twist and turn, with the incredibly friendly Church of Satan also lending their seasons greetings.

What a bizarre twist to what was initially a sad and disturbing story. Never in my life did I think the new year would open with Chrissy Teigen, Chelsea Clinton, Hooters and the Church Of Satan having a chat on Twitter.
