Wendy Williams has received a decidedly mixed response from fans on social media after posting a birthday tribute to her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., to Instagram.
The 56-year-old daytime talk show host paid tribute to her son on his 20th birthday with an Instagram picture that revealed the keepsakes she's kept hold of since his birth.
Wendy Williams talks about filming her show from home during the coronavirus pandemic:She wrote:
"Today is my biggest day! Son Kevin & I are celebrating his 20th birthday❤He's in Miami & I'm in NYC, but love never stops. If you look closely you'll see remains of 1st hair cut, my cerclage is on sneaker, like a mom... I DO have all his teeth."
"I'm not a fan of cake, but today OK...for my son❤ What are you doing?"

However, the post received a mixed response from commenters on social media. Many well wishers expressed their own birthday message for Hunter Jr. One wrote, Happy Birthday to your son and don't pay the media and all those *ss hats making inappropriate comments, your love is strong for your child," while another added, "That is so beautiful, now i dont feel weird for saving all of my sons firsts."


But not everyone was so pleased with the tribute. One commenter added, "Ok Wendy that is too much.lol! Witches keep peoples hair teeth etc,and you are not a witch.So,why do all that.lo! That's weird. [sic]"

Another wrote, "IT JUST LOOKS LIKE A WHOLE LOAD OF VOODOO TO ME".

"I do not see anything wrong with her keeping her sons items that mean alot to her. I still have my son first haircut braids in my Bible. He is doing awesome. way to go wendy Williams I love you [sic]" added another fan.
