A resurfaced article has revealed more disturbing allegations about the night Ruby Rose claims Katy Perry sexually assaulted her.
Earlier this week, the 40-year-old Orange Is The New Black star made the explosive allegation about the pop star, 41, claiming the incident took place at Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne back in 2010.
"She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friend's lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side, and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face till my eyes snapped open, and I projectile vomited on her," she said, adding that she has photographic proof and witnesses.
Rose explained that she initially downplayed the incident publicly because she "didn’t know how else to handle it" and was concerned about jeopardising her chances of obtaining a US visa with Perry’s help.
"I’m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly. Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me," she added.
Australian police confirmed they have launched a formal investigation into the claims, while 'Fireworks' singer's representatives have strongly denied the claims.
"The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies," they said.
"Ms Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named," they added.
The controversy has since intensified with the reappearance of Rose’s own account of that night, which was written in an article more than a decade ago.
Per the Herald Sun, Rose described a chaotic night out with Perry that led her to quit alcohol in a resurfaced news.com.au article. But she made no mention of any assault at the time.
"I spectacularly lost dignity (and keys) one night not too long ago. Remember when Katy Perry and I crashed the year 12 formal? I don’t. I had been off the grog for 30 days - my first attempt at sobriety - and I was out partying with Katy," she wrote at the time.
"What I do remember thinking was: 'I'll have a drink tonight, I deserve one. I mean, what’s the worst that could happen?' Well, not stopping at one drink, or ten, and then vomiting on Katy’s foot was the answer."
She added: “Before you jump to conclusions, nothing horrific happened, nor have I been hit with a DUI - but I just had enough, and it has been one of the best decisions of my life."
Footage from the night has been shared online, showing the 'Roar' songstress on the evening of August 15, 2010, at the Grand Hyatt hotel, where she and Rose crashed a high school prom.
Perry can be seen grabbing a microphone and singing along to several songs, including Beyoncé's 'Single Ladies', while appearing relaxed and in good spirits. Rose is not visible in the footage.
From there, the pair reportedly went to Melbourne nightclub Spice Market - the venue attached to the hotel where Rose alleges the assault took place.
A former Spice Market manager described the evening as a "security nightmare," adding: "I wasn’t aware of any alleged assault, or someone vomiting... they were drunk, they weren’t paralytic or anything."
He said they probably had "too much to drink," recalling: "To avoid people taking photos of them in a state, we organised a car and driver to be waiting outside the Collins St entrance of the hotel.
"We escorted them out the back and up the fire exit and put them in the car together. I think from there they went on to The Peel Hotel," he added.
The renewed scrutiny comes as a previous allegation involving the 'Dark Horse' singer has also resurfaced.
Actor Josh Kloss, who appeared in her 2010 Teenage Dream music video, claimed in 2019 that she exposed him by pulling down his Adidas sweats and underwear in front of a crowd.
"Can you imagine how pathetic and embarrassed I felt?" he wrote, adding that he felt "assaulted and belittled" by the experience.
Kloss also spoke about the lasting impact, saying he felt restricted from speaking out at the time.
"I made only $650 from the video while being lorded over by her reps, about not discussing a single thing about anything regarding Katy publicly," he said in a since-deleted Instagram post in August 2019, per RadarOnline.
