Britney Spears has made a bizarre announcement on social media following her sudden split from her husband Sam Asghari.
According to multiple reports, the singer and the personal trainer have called it quits after being married for a total of 14 months.
TMZ was the first to report the news of the break-up with Asghari allegedly citing "irreconcilable differences" as the main reason for ending the marriage.
Sources who spoke to the outlet claimed there were also cheating rumors within the relationship that have driven a wedge between the couple.
And just to make matters more complicated, Neal Hersh, Asghari’s lawyer, also hinted that he could contest their prenup as the court documents reportedly read: "[He] has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of each party.
"There are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to [Sam] at this time," they continued.
The alleged motives come shortly after another source told Page Six that the 29-year-old apparently wants to renegotiate their prenup in return for keeping the singer's "secrets."
The source said: "[He is] attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.
"So that’s what Sam is focused on," they added.
Amid the drama, Spears has taken to Instagram to make a bizarre announcement... about potentially buying a horse.
"Buying a horse soon !!!", the 'Baby One More Time' hitmaker wrote alongside a photograph of her straddling a brown pony. "So many options it’s kinda hard !!! A horse called Sophie and another called Roar ??? I can’t make up my mind !!!
"Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on ???", she added before concluding: "Either way I think I found my sweet spot with Roar !!!"
The star has disabled comments on the post, and rightfully so, given the tumultuous circumstances surrounding her relationship.
Spears and the fitness trainer were first romantically linked after they met on the set of her 'Slumber Party' music video back in 2016.
"I was like, 'He was really cute, this guy was really cute,' so I called him," she said during an interview in 2017. "He's just a really fun, funny person."
And while the pair enjoyed each other's company for several years, it seems as though things took a drastic turn as claimed in TMZ's unauthorized TV special about Spears.
"I found it absolutely disgusting for the people who were in her life when she didn’t have a voice, they went and told her story like it was theirs. It was absolutely disgusting," Asghari said in a series of videos, referencing Spears' traumatic conservatorship that only came to an end two years ago.
"How are you going to take the most influential person of her generation, the Princess of Pop, America’s sweetheart, and put her in prison where her father [Jamie Spears] tells her what to do, what water to drink, who to see and use her as a money-making machine?", he continued, before going on to talk about "putting [Spears] under a microscope."
"All of a sudden - after 15 years when she’s free after all those gaslighting, all those things that went down - now you’re going to put her under a microscope and tell her story? No, no, that’s also disgusting, so don’t do that, and don’t believe what you read online," he concluded.
We hope that both parties manage to come to an agreement during this difficult period.
