Fans are going wild over Johnny Depp's new look.
The 58-year-old star debuted a clean-shaven appearance when he took to the stage at the Helsinki Blues Festival on Sunday (June 19), to perform alongside his friend Jeff Beck.
Depp's new hairstyle marks a change from the look he opted for during his weeks-long defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star cut a memorable figure in the Virginia courthouse where he arrived every day sporting a mustache, a goatee, and a slicked-back ponytail.
Since winning the trial and being awarded over $10 million in damages by the court, Depp has been accompanying Beck on his European tour, playing to packed stadiums of ecstatic fans. His pivot to focusing on music rather than acting was confirmed when, earlier this month, he and Beck announced they'd be releasing an album together.
With all the changes in his life, it feels fitting that Depp is trialing a more rock'n'roll hairstyle. When he appeared on stage in Finland this weekend, the Edward Scissorhands star appeared to have shaven off his mustache and beard, and let his (seemingly newly auburn) hair down.
Needless to say, Depp's loyal fans were overjoyed with the new look. Many could hardly contain themselves, taking to Twitter to reflect that Depp's new hair represents a new start for the star.
"We stand with Johnny Depp and his new beginning," one fan wrote, while another commented: "Looking beautiful, healthy and at peace."
"Awesome! JD looks so happy and relaxed, this new look takes years off, enhances his eyes, handsome features. Love the clean shaven face!" another gushed.
One fan had a slightly more critical response, making it clear that while they liked that Depp had ditched the beard, they weren't so keen about his auburn locks. "Clean shaven looks great. Next ditch the orange hair," they tweeted.
Meanwhile, another was so bowled over by the new look that they couldn't stop themself from professing their love for the star. "You're gorgeous Johnny Depp. I love you so much, I love you with all my heart," the super-fan wrote.
