Guy who spent $25,000 to look like David Beckham now wants to look like Brooklyn
As a young English child, I grew up wanting to be one man and one man only: David Beckham.
David Beckham. Becks. Golden Balls. He was a national treasure, a hero and - despite his love of sarongs - Beckham was a style icon. Like Beckham, I had curtains, I had a shaved head, I wanted a mohawk but my mom said no. I had silver football boots, I had DB07 clothing. I was David Beckham.
However, as I grew up, my infatuation with Beckham remained, but my love of his hairstyles and clothing choices wained. Now, I appreciate Becks from afar - remembering the time when he lifted the nation with one stroke of his right leg against Greece. Remembering the tears of joy that streamed down his face against when he banged in that penalty against Argentina. Remembering how, for one split second, Becks made us believe we were actually going to win the World Cup.
But, for all my love and admiration for David Beckham, I never went as far as this guy.
Jack Johnson, 21, spent over $25,000 on surgery to look like David Beckham but has now changed his mind. After apparently being made homeless due to his excessive surgeries, Jack claims that he now wants to look like Brooklyn Beckham, David's son.
"I've been busy finding myself over the last few months and now I want to look like Brooklyn Beckham," Jack told Mirror Online.
"David is obviously very attractive but he's getting older now and I want a younger, fresher look.
"Brooklyn is more in the limelight and now when I go to my surgeon or beauty therapist, I take a picture of him."
Jack spends around $500 a week on cosmetic procedures despite the fact that he's unemployed. Appearing on This Morning back in 2016, he received a fair amount of scorn for saying that he uses his benefits payments to fund his surgery.
Now, however, he claims that he is deeply in debt and is sofa surfing between friends.
But, while you may think that would be enough to put Jack off the surgery, he now has an unconventional way of paying for things: sugar daddies.
"It is costing me a fortune and I'm not working so I have about five sugar daddies," Jack explained.
"I don't have to do anything intimate with them, I just go out for luxury dinners and attend exclusive events by their side. "
"It's a simple transaction - they're not really my friends.
"My daddies make sure I can afford the surgery and they give me amazing gifts like designer handbags and clothes.
"I’m always drinking champagne and eating nice food."
Jack undergoes regular procedures on his face, including his eyebrows and jawline fillers. He's set to go to Turkey in order to get his "veneers to be the same shape as Brooklyn's teeth but dead bright and fake looking."
Looking back at his attempt to look like the famous footballer, Jack says he feels embarrassed by his previous look:
"I've spent roughly £9k so far on looking like Brooklyn and the results are amazing," he said.
"When I look back at myself on This Morning I think I look like Mr Potato Head from Toy Story. "Now I'm much more comfortable and people who give me a hard time are just jealous and bitter.
"It's my body and I'm a grown man so I'm not ashamed of what I do. I want to be famous so I am working at it."
Jack now plans on bringing out a topless calendar for 2019. Who knows which celebrity he will go for next, but given his penchant for the Beckham's, don't be surprised if he turns into Victoria.
