Stephen 'tWitch' Boss' widow has penned a heartbreaking message for their three children following the untimely death of their father.
Boss, who was best known for his role as house DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and for professional dancing career, passed away on December 13, 2022, at the age 40.
The star's body was discovered at a hotel.
As per reports at the time, law enforcement officials revealed that Boss had taken an Uber from his home to a hotel less than a mile away that morning, switching his phone to airplane mode so no one could reach him.
His wife, Allison Holker, rushed to the police station when she noticed that her husband hadn't been in contact, which she described as very "unusual" of him especially since the couple hadn't been experiencing any "arguments or issues" at home.
Meanwhile, employees at the hotel were forced to enter Boss' room after he failed to check out the following morning. Upon entering, they discovered his belongings still in the room before finding his body in the bathroom and immediately called emergency services.
According to information released by TMZ, Boss allegedly left a note before his death, which "ambiguously" alluded to the professional dancer's "past challenges," but the outlet went on to add that it was "unclear exactly what he was referring to."
Now, just three months later, Holker has taken to Instagram to send a message to her children.
In an emotional post on the platform, the 35-year-old spoke of her dedication to the wellbeing of each of them.
"My loves we are stronger than you could ever imagine. And we will stand strong together as a unit, and find the courage to hold each other up." the post started. "I will be here for you every step of the way through the highs and lows, the ups and the downs.
"I will protect and I will guide, I will be a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, I will have mom jokes ready for when you need a good laugh.
"The love and light inside our hearts will still shine. I love you forever and always," she concluded before signing off with "Mommy."
Alongside the heartfelt caption was a beautiful photo of the little family, including Holker sitting with six-year-old son Maddox on her lap. Next to her sits her 14-year-old daughter, Weslie, who is holding her three-year-old sister, Zaia, in her arms.
Thousands of comments poured in under the post, including kind messages from other celebrity figures.
"I think about you all every day," commented former talk-show host and long-term friend of the family, Ellen DeGeneres.
American actress Chrishell Stause wrote: "You are so incredible. Hope you feel your family wrapped in love from all over the world."
And comedian and television host, Chelsea Handler described Holker as a "shining light."
Back in December, Holker confirmed the news of her husband's death to PEOPLE, emphasizing that the family was devastated over the loss of Boss.
"It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us," she said. "Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans."
"To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt," she continued. "I am certain there won't be a day that goes by that we won't honor his memory."
