Mason Haynes, a British bodyguard who protected high-profile celebrities and A-listers, has died at the age of 52 following a severe four-vehicle collision.
The incident occurred in Hampshire, where Haynes was found dead at the scene. His family confirmed the news in a statement, noting that the tragedy occurred just two days before his 53rd birthday.
The crash involved two Harley-Davidson motorcycles, a BMW X3, and an LDV Maxus motorhome. According to local police, one other individual suffered serious injuries during the collision. Two drivers were arrested in connection with the crash but were subsequently released under investigation as inquiries continue, The Sun reports.
Haynes, who stood at 6 feet 10 inches tall, was a prominent figure in the close protection industry. Over his career, he provided security for a massive roster of global stars, including Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Beyoncé, David Beckham, Lewis Hamilton, Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, and Sabrina Carpenter. He was also hired by the pop group ABBA during their 2022 reunion.
Haynes began his security career in his 20s while looking for a way to fund his studies. In a 2018 interview with London Now, he explained his professional origins: "I then found a full-time job in Scorpion Security, who were the security company hired by Café De Paris in London, among others.
"Because there were a number of celebrity patrons, I started doing what you might call ‘close protection’, which became permanent contracts with several celebrities."
His early high-profile clients included the Kardashian family. Haynes was part of the security detail assigned to the family during the 2016 Paris heist, where Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint during a 7.4 million pound jewelry robbery. Reflecting on the event, Haynes stated: "I was part of that team, and that incident was simply a set of unfortunate circumstances which led to something bad happening."
Following the news of his death, loved ones and professional associates shared messages honoring his life. A fundraising page was established to assist his wife, Fay, and his two children, Brooke and Noah, with immediate financial strains and funeral costs.
The statement on the fundraising page described Haynes as: “A protector. A mentor. A prankster. A giant in every sense of the word, with an even bigger heart.” The tribute added that he was “a man who made people feel welcome from the moment they met him” and “who would cross countries to help a friend.”
His employer, Trojan Security UK, also published a statement on Instagram alongside a photograph of Haynes working alongside Kris Jenner. The company wrote: “We would like to pay homage to an absolute legend in the Close Protection game. Big Mason. Gone too soon. Rest easy and fly high Brother.”

Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian have taken their friendship to new heights, with sources claiming that the pair are dating after spending a romantic weekend together in the UK.
According to The Sun, the 45-year-old SKIMS founder flew in from Los Angeles on her private jet, to enjoy a private and intimate evening with Hamilton, 41, at the exclusive Estelle Manor in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire.
The pair, surrounded by bodyguards for protection, made the most of the luxurious spa and private dining facilities at the estate, which is set on 85 acres of countryside.
A source revealed to the outlet: “It all appeared to be very romantic. Kim and Lewis made use of all the facilities on offer."
"They had two bodyguards with her, and Lewis had a close protection officer, but they remained in the background," they added.
The couple's evening included a massage, with the spa completely reserved for them, followed by a private dinner for two.
Despite their high-profile status, both Hamilton and Kardashian kept a low profile on social media during the trip, with neither posting about the getaway.
Hamilton and Kardashian’s bond isn’t new. The two have known each other for years, with the racing driver having previously been friends with Kardashian's ex-husband, Kanye West.
They were seen together in 2014 at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London. In the years that followed, Hamilton’s connection to the Kardashian-Jenner family deepened, especially through his friendship with Kim’s half-sister, supermodel Kendall Jenner.
Hamilton and Kardashian were also spotted together in 2024 when both were honored at the Wall Street Journal’s Innovator Awards - he for his sports achievements and her for her shapewear company, Skims.
Reports on the pair's budding relationship come after the reality TV star voiced support for the victims of ICE raids in the US.
She condemned the shootings in a post on X, which read: "In response to the recent tragic deaths of Alex Pretti, Renee Good, Silverio Villegas González, and Keith Porter Jr. and other victims, I stand in solidarity with calls for accountability and compassionate immigration enforcement."
"I stand with the families and children nationwide who are facing separation, fear, trauma, and loss amid these actions," she added.
Kardashian also revealed she made a significant donation to the National Immigration Law Center, an organization that supports low-income immigrants' rights.

Weeks after publicly confirming she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, Kim Kardashian is now sharing what doctors believe caused it.
The 45-year-old reality star first revealed the health scare in a trailer for the current season of Hulu's The Kardashians, where she is shown undergoing an MRI scan before telling her family: “There was a little aneurysm.” Her sister, Kourtney, reacted with shock, saying: “Woah!”
Elsewhere in the episode, Kim became emotional while discussing her split from ex-husband Kanye West, suggesting the turmoil of the divorce contributed to her health issues, according to Sky News.
“I’m happy it’s over,” she told viewers. “My ex will be in my life no matter what. We have four kids together.”
In the latest episode, Kardashian expands on the diagnosis and shares the advice she received from renowned brain surgeon, Dr. Keith Black.

“I called Keith Black… and I sent him a picture of it,” Kim explained. “He was like, ‘I want you to come in for all this imaging.’ I asked, ‘Can I wait? What makes it rupture?’ They’re like, ‘Just stress.’”
The reality star said her demanding workload only added to her stress levels. Between studying for the bar exam, filming Ryan Murphy’s new legal drama All’s Fair, and raising four young children, Kim said she had been overwhelmed.
“I’m studying 10 hours a day,” she shared. “My stress levels had become next level – to the point of hives now. I have four kids who depend on me. I have to be sane. It’s stressful out there, but this aneurysm can’t be stressed.”
Kourtney, 46, expressed worry that her sister was pushing herself too hard.
“I’m definitely worried about Kim,” she said in a confessional. “She has so much going on between work and her four kids that I don’t want her to have an aneurysm.”
Speaking directly to Kim, she urged her to reconsider her timing: “I’m not shaming or judging, but isn’t there a time to do it later once your kids are more grown?”

Kim acknowledged the pressure but insisted that continuing her education is important to her – and something she hopes inspires her children.
“I love that my kids see me go to school,” she said. “I enjoy that. I love educating myself. I just wouldn’t feel like myself if I wasn’t always learning and trying new things.”

Details have emerged about Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton considering having a baby through a surrogate.
The 45-year-old SKIMS founder and the 41-year-old Formula One champion, who have been friends for years, sparked romance rumors when it was reported that they enjoyed a romantic getaway in the Cotswolds earlier this month.
According to The Sun, the pair spent a weekend at Estelle Manor, a luxurious estate known for its exclusive offerings and serene atmosphere.
"It all appeared to be very romantic," a source close to the couple shared. "Kim and Lewis made use of all the facilities on offer."
Despite their high-profile status, they managed to keep things low-key, avoiding any social media posts about the trip.
The pair seemingly confirmed their relationship after they were spotted sitting next to each other at Levi’s Stadium as the Seattle Seahawks faced the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LV on Sunday (Febraury 8).
Their interaction during the game didn’t go unnoticed by fans, and professional lip reader Nicola Hickling even decoded a key moment between the two.
Hickling said the racing driver told the mom-of-four: “No, I don’t take just any girl to my mom, I mean you're gonna meet someday, she is very excited to see you," per Daily Mail.
Kardashian, who was wearing a black fur jacket, oversized sunglasses, and a glamorous updo, “shuffled uncomfortably in her seat” before covering her face and replying, “Okay.”
Body language experts analyzed the exchange and noted the undeniable chemistry between the couple.
“Kim's hand to hair gesture looks like a preen here, suggesting she sees Lewis as a very suitable ‘catch’ to show off with pride at this public event,” said one expert.
As their romance deepens, the pair is reportedly looking ahead to the future, including discussions about having a baby together.
Kardashian, who shares four children with ex-husband Kanye West, has previously used a surrogate for two of her pregnancies due to health issues.
Insiders allege that she and her rumored beau are seriously considering this option for their own family. "Given Kim’s past experience, they’d almost certainly welcome their baby using a surrogate. She still has frozen eggs, so it’s something they’re seriously discussing," said a source, per Heat World.
Hamilton, who will retire from Formula 1 next year, is eager to become a father and start a family with his new partner. “He doesn’t want to be an absent father. They’ve already been talking seriously about him moving to LA and what their blended family would look like,” the insider shared.
For the reality TV star, this relationship feels like a fresh start. Having been through a high-profile divorce with the controversial rapper, she’s now looking for stability and a new chapter in her life.
“She’s older, more settled, and knows exactly what she wants. She feels safe, adored, and excited about building a future together with Lewis,” the source revealed.

Just a week after lovebirds Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian made their relationship Instagram official, the F1 driver spoke about having the support of his reality star girlfriend at the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend.
Reportedly, Ferrari driver Hamilton, 41, and shapewear mogul Kardashian, 45, have been in a relationship since the beginning of this year.
Although Hamilton made their relationship official back in April when he posted an Instagram Reel that featured Kardashian riding shotgun in a red Ferrari driving through Tokyo, she did not post about her new beau until last week.
The mom-of-four posted a picture of the pair cycling along a river in New York, alongside other snaps of what she has been up to, with the caption “lately”.
On Sunday, June 7, the star with 345 million followers on Instagram was spotted at the Monaco Grand Prix with her sister Khloe, arriving 50 minutes before the start of the event to pose for cameras outside Hamilton’s Ferrari garage.
In a sweet public gesture, Hamilton blew a kiss to Kardashian as she watched him collect his runners-up trophy.
The seven-time world champion, who finished second in Sunday’s race, gushed over his girlfriend, telling reporters, "It is amazing to have her come this weekend and to have that support.
"It is amazing to have good people around you, good people supporting you, and she does that for me every day."
The competition in Monaco was Kardashian’s first appearance at a racing event in support of her boyfriend. She wore a white dress with large purple-tinted sunglasses, while her sister Khloe donned a similar outfit.
While standing on the grid, the sisters were approached by a Sky Sports reporter, who asked a series of questions, including “Are you enjoying F1?”, but the pair ignored him. The reporter replied sheepishly: “Okay, so we’re not talking today."
Other big names in attendance at Monaco’s Grand Prix were Donald Trump Jnr, singer Karol G, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, former snowboarder Shaun White, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor Terry Crews.
The Grand Prix was won by 19-year-old Mercedes’ Italian driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli. Despite being beaten by a teenager, Hamilton shared kind words about his competitor, saying in the build-up to his win, he was doing “a phenomenal job”.
He added, He shared: "Kimi is doing a phenomenal job. But it just encourages me to level up, and it encourages everyone else to level up, too.
"And I am going to do my best to try and chase him down for the rest of the year."
Hamilton dated a number of A-list celebrities prior to Kardashian, his longest relationship being with Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger. The former couple dated on and off for seven years.
